The Visit

During our visit of Fondation Monet at Giverny, we will walk all over the places that inspired the master of Impressionism.

We will cross the famous Japanese bridge and stroll around the waterlily pond to observe the reflection on the water surface.

Then we will get back to the Clos normand, the gorgeous flower garden blooming from spring to fall. It was designed by Monet himself. The painter was also an avid gardener and he used the colors of flowers just as he would have used paints from his palette.

The house looks exactly like it did on Monet's times, and it is easy to imagine the life he had in this very place one century ago. We will see the studio-sitting-room, Monet's and Alice's bedrooms, the yellow dining-room and the kitchen decorated with blue tiles.

You will know everything about Monet's hard work, his countryside family life, his collection of Japanese woodblocks and his skills as a landscape gardener.

Upon request, other tours in the area:
Complete tour of Giverny (Sainte-Radegonde church, Claude Monet's grave, American art Museum)
Tour of Vernon (Collegiate church, Museum, old streets)
Chateau-Gaillard
Louviers, Evreux... Quote on request.

Bonjour Ms. Cauderlier,

We had the pleasure of one of your guided tours on May 8, 2008. I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip to France. I will recommend it to any of our friends who are traveling to Paris.

Sincerely,

Peggy and Patrick C.
